2025 Annual Spring Convention

Why "Renew. Recharge. Refocus."?

Our theme this year highlights the importance of pausing to evaluate, restore, and recalibrate. "Renew. Recharge. Refocus." Embracing fresh energy, refining our strategies, and gaining the clarity needed to move forward with purpose. It’s about fostering resilience, sharpening our focus, and positioning ourselves for meaningful contribution, impact sustainability and success.

Please use the form below to register each Delegate and Alternate attending Convention. We ask invited Guests to also register using this process. The number of Delegates permitted for each Affiliate Local is outlined in the APFFPA Constitution and Bylaws.

Please ensure to enter information for each of your local's attendees to convention.

All delegates to convention must be members in good standing in their own LOCAL. Each subordinate LOCAL of this ASSOCIATION shall have the option of sending Delegates to an officially called Convention as follows:

Four (04) delegates for the first 100 or part thereof

Five (05) delegates for membership of 101 – 300

Six (06) delegates for membership of 301 – 500

Seven (07) delegates for membership of 501 – 700

Eight (8) delegates for membership 701 – 900

Nine (9) delegates for membership 901 – 1100

Ten (10) delegates for membership 1101 – 1300

Eleven (11) delegates for membership 1301 – 1500

Twelve (12) delegates for membership 1501 – 1700

Thirteen (13) delegates for membership 1701 – 1900

Fourteen (14) delegates for membership 1901 – 2100

If your local is sending more members then your allotment of delegates allows for, please ensure additional members are registered as 'Alternates'.

Example: Local 263 has 78 members, and they will be sending 5 Executive Board members to Convention. 4 members will be registered as 'Delegates' with 1 'Alternate'.

Credentials

The Credentials Committee is integral to organizational structures At our convention. Its primary responsibility is to verify and authenticate the credentials of attendees, ensuring that individuals present are qualified and entitled to participate. This committee typically reviews documentation such as identification and registration information to confirm the eligibility of participants. The Credentials Committee plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the gathering, upholding rules, and fostering a fair and representative environment.

Resolutions

The Resolutions Committee is a specialized group within our organization tasked with debating These resolutions cover various issues, such as policies, organizational goals, or responses to challenges. Through in-depth discussions and research, the committee drafts resolutions that reflect the organization's views. The resolutions are presented to the larger body for consideration, playing a pivotal role in shaping the organization's direction through a democratic decision-making process.

Nominations and Elections

The Nominations and Elections Committee is a crucial component within our organization, overseeing the nomination process and conducting elections for leadership positions. This committee plays a fundamental role in maintaining the democratic process. The committee is essential in upholding the principles of accountability, representation, and participation in the democratic governance of the APFFPA.

Finance

The Finance Committee is a specialized group within our organization tasked with overseeing financial matters. This committee reviews budgets, financial statements, and investment plans. It collaborates with the APFFPA board to ensure fiscal responsibility, compliance with our CBL and Blue Book, and achieving financial goals. The Finance Committee's primary objective is safeguarding the organization's financial health and contributing to its long-term sustainability.

These Committees perform important work and oversight in the operation of our Convention and are a great opportunity for Delegates to learn and get more involved in the business of our Association. We are asking for a minimum of 5 Delegates per Committee with a maximum of 7. If there are more than 7 Delegates interested in a Committee, the APFFPA Executive Board will engage with Affiliate Presidents to try to best accommodate everyone. Once the Convention Committees are formed, they will coordinate with APFFPA Secretary/Treasurer Davis to organize and meet virtually. Each Committee will appoint a Chair and will have an APFFPA Executive member liaison to ensure they have the direction, information and resources to carry out their duties.
